Why Me
My journey into the world of climate action is not that of an armchair observer but a hands-on explorer. I have been exploring and writing about what a climate-safe world looks, feels and tastes like for over three decades. With a background in design and climate science and a career spent researching and advocating for sustainability in the marketplace, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this book. Since 2010 I have researched and reported on climate solutions across the lifestyle landscape. I've also had the privilege of working in East Africa, South America, Asia and India mapping the effects of climate change and the corresponding cascade of benefits possible with strategic sustainable development initiatives and carbon sequestration and offset strategies. This hands-on experience has allowed me to witness the tangible impact of climate in diverse communities at risk. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of collaborating with climate scientists, clean tech innovators, and community leaders who are actively shaping our sustainable future. My distinctive perspective, fueled by a profound passion for the subject matter, enables me to present intricate climate science and solutions in a manner that's both accessible and engaging.
